Hoping I\'m not the first to have a fail on this...

Replacing my Ikeya sequential with a re-am short shift, I have two issues, which may be related...

1. The brass cup that comes with it does not stay on, in the same way that the plastic ones do, I assumed that was normal?

2. The shifter slips out of the mounting cup on the gear change when I try to shift through the gears, it\'s almost like it\'s too short to seat firmly in the cup?

Anyone had this problem?

The brass cup/cooler is meant to be separate.
Have you bolted it down before trying to test it?

Yup, all bolted down, rubber cowls on.. and it just seemed to pull out of the cup...

Sounds like you need the bigger collar.

Hmm the old gear shift has the same issue though? Doesn\'t make sense...

Guess you broke it then ?   Got a spare here if you want. Good price.
