Ok I striped the car from inside I mean everything is out only bucket seats left and the rest just metal all round and back ,I\'m just wondering if my car pushing 450bhp and it\'s weight 1175kg is it safe to drive without roll cage?I mean the accalraction gonna be very quick respond with high speed I\'m not gonna lose control if I drive over 160mph ??...any idea how to stiff it underneath and in corners ...??

Cheers

As long as you haven\'t cut weight out of the doors it\'s fine. The cars are really strong structurally. The doors are part of that structure, but when you cut them down or change them for light weight ones you need a cage in there with door bars.

You could install a roll hoop for added bit of support and satisfaction that its there

UNless you\'ve disconnected the brakes and the steering you\'ll be as safe as you ever were.

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!

I didn\'t cut out anything inside all I did is take all the trims and door panels,  back seat speakers ,seat belt, and put light seats ,light battery ,remove a/c and, fibre glass body kit all round.and that\'s it pretty much...
So I should be fine is that right ?

Grant Monkhouse

That will be fine, are you going to doing track days?

I would think about a cage in the near future as the better you get the faster you get. And a roll cage is the best thing to have. It also means you can have a proper harness set in the car

Aliakeel

Yes I might do and I have harness already ,are they ok to just fit them around the bucket seat without the cage?is it legal to drive with two seats and harnesses and nothing else inside the car, am I gonna get trouble passing mot and stuff?

Aliakeel

Is it legal to drive the car with two seats and harness and nothing inside all striped ...

Grant Monkhouse

Yes it is legal. I don\'t think there are any regulations for MOTs that say you can\'t. The harnesses have to be fixed correctly though, as they are the same as a seat belt

Aliakeel

Well I don\'t have roll cage so I fixed the harness around the mamba bucket seat, and  I have sparco 4 point harness .

You do need to consider your mounting points when using harnesses. Take a look at this:

Most harness manufacturers will also give instructions on secure mounting points and the best angles, so it\'s worth going and reading up.
