Hi there, just a couple of questions on the 19" wheels.

Do you still run equivelant Bridgestone tyres or other brand?

Do the 19" wheels affect the gearing ie. acceleration, top end, overall ratios, rpm etc?

Cheers,

Ian.

Overall diameter is slightly taller, so more top end I guess (but not much difference) it has Pirelli\'s on it.

From what I have been told between the wheel/tyre and suspension kit (slightly lower than factory) it has transformed the car - it actually rides better now also.
Thanks,

Ianmcurtis

Cheers - sounds good. I almost had mine lowered by local Mazda dealer using Mazda\'s own shorter springs - decided too many speed bumps around these days!

You\'ll be having REWorks fit the turbo next so as to pull the slightly taller gearing eh? Mine hits the red ok in 5th but often doesn\'t want to play much more when into 6th.

My 8\'s off to Mazda this Tuesday for a check over, using/losing coolant some where and power loss every now and again at high err... speed - has been for months - I mentioned these probs in threads ages back.

Nice wheels mate.

Ian.

Hi Ian,

Cars actually in Oz.

Turbo would be nice :)

Mine went back to Mazda recently with around 10 problems - couple of major ones, but hopefully they are sorting it all.

Keep us posted on the outcome.
Thanks,

Ianmcurtis

Oops! Sorry Glenn - flippin\' internet - thought you were in the UK.

I certainly will post any developments on my 8\'s problems. I just hope the mazda mechanics are upto the job. Need to get the water useage sorted - hoping they find something minor such as a weeping hose etc. Don\'t hold out much hope of them solving the power loss, but you never know.................

Ian.
