how to re-spay the lip for 99 spec nose

Hi
I would like to re-spray my lip for 99 spec nose on my FD
Long time ago I bought a can in Halfords with the Mazda white colour and I was able to repair the scratches.  Now the lip needs a proper job.
Does any one on here could recommend a procedure to re-spray the lip?  Where do I buy a portable spray gun, do I have to take off the old paint and if so with what, once re-sprayed, do I polish it?  Equally, do I have to add something to the paint to make it a tad elastic since it is for a part which bends?
