Hello, I have a defi gauge set up on my car and the oil pressure gauge drops rather low when I come to a standstill. normally i will correct itself and go back to normal pressure but sometimes it will keep beeping.  What I\'d like to know is low oil pressure at a standstill going to cause any problems? when I\'m driving it\'s perfectly fine, only when I have just stopped.

At idle you do not need alot of oil pressure so it should be fine as long as you are getting good oil pressure when the engine is turning higher speed than idle.

about 1.7 on the defi pressure gauge,  its only at a standstill, when its running it\'s fine. changed the settings so it doesn\'t beep every time i come to a stop, it sorts itself out after a few secs but it\'s quite a pain.

you should be getting around 30psi at idle on a stock oil system setup.

You do the conversion
