Hi Guys
The names Jimbo and i join you from owning various FTO\'s over the last 7/8 yrs.. I\'m currently a committee member over there and have recently sold my FTO to purchase my first Rotary madness machine :D

My first FTO:

i spent 5 years getting this from standard to how it was before i wrote her off :(
My 3rd FTO:

as she was when i sold her:

As you can probably tell i love to modify my cars... pretty much leaving the engine standard but tidy then messing with the cosmetics :D

Heres my new project:

Took her out and never missed a beat :) i know its pretty much a no no but i got the car with NO history.... was told the engine was rebuilt 3 months ago but tbh i havent taken it as gospel.. i got plans to give her a complete service just as soon as the weather turns better :)
I\'ll be about pretty regular on here doing my homework and seeing what i can do myself..
Have also signed up on the FDUK site too (never too much info)
First niggles are thus:
Someones taken out the dash at somepoint and the backlights dont work also havent secured it back on at all!
Doorcards arent secured
centre console is real loose
need to convert from kph to mph.
At the moment this is just my niggles im sure more will pop up :)
Anyone know owt about the car please drop me a pm :)
I\'m so chuffed to have been able to source one i can play about with in my spare time..
Well, hope to bend a few ears soon enough and also get along to any meets that are happening.. I\'ll be going JAE as im organising that for the FTOOC so you can catch me there :D

Hi Jimbo, and a very warm welcome to the MRC. What took you so long to discover rotary madness :Laugh

Keep us posted on what you do with your car.

If you want to try her out on a trackday sometime, we organise several throughout the year where we get a mix of 10 to 20 RX-7\'s and RX-8\'s rotaries having track fun. If you happen to frequent Japfest, you may have seen some of us in the four "Rotary Exclusive" track sessions we did in May this year.

Thanks Guys,
I was due to go Japfest but i had to work last minete :( .....
To be honest i dont know whats taken me so long.... i guess i was happy with the FTO and the buzz i got from driving it... now if i had the cash i\'d VR4\'d it and made my smile a lot bigger :D i\'d got as far as i could with my 2nd and felt as i had to move on but keep it far east style lol ;)

Most important to me with this FD is getting the history together and make sure she\'s as reliable as she could possibly be. i will have to find someone in the area that will Compression check the car and give me an overview on whats needed i guess..
In the FTO world we had a company called Japco in northampton that were the most trusted, most used guys, Giles really knew his stuff and would share the info with you (if you had spare time and could afford to get dirty lol )

Welcome :)

Where in the UK are you?  Sure we can help you find a local-ish place to test the 13B for you :)

Ok, ive spotted some carbon goodies for this beauty and will be purchasing and updating soon... i also have plans to get a nice flowing bodykit ... but first i could do with getting my FD healthchecked... Anyone know a reputable/trusted garage in the East midlands?
