I have a big problem!! :(

I mounted the engine in my rx7 FD, and now only run if you put gas in the intake, after the intercooler.

when the engine is stabilized sounds good, twins turbos spull up, vacuum system checked ...

anyone knows how to help me?

thanks

Have you checked the Fuel Pump is working? also are you 100% sure you have hooked up the Fuel lines correctly?

Grizzly

Do you mean you can only Start it by putting Fuel in the Inlet but when its going it runs ok with out any extra Fuel being added etc?

salvaracinf

Sometimes I need to add extra fuel to the intake manifold when its going runs

Maybe an idea to start by checking the voltage to the fuel pump.

colum

have you put the 3 fuel related lines by the oil filter on the right way?

feed
return
fuel vapour to charcoal canister

?

In adddition to the above I wonder if you have the primary and secondary connectors the wrong way around as the plugs will fit the wrong way around and this may explain the adding fuel to get it going

Question for you though ,

When it\'s warm does it then re-start without adding fuel ??

When the engine its warm I can turn the key without problems, and without adding any extra fuel in the intake.

And the 3 fuel related lines are checked and any issues found

anyone else have any idea what  happens with my engine? Im desperate...

What ecu you running ?

Is your running apexi it sounds like your cold start setting are out.

If stock ecu, then you want to check the air bleed screw,

you need to take of intake elbow and there is hold in the throttle body about 10mm size inside is a screw,

turn it clockwise until it stops then, turn anti clockwise 1 1/2 turn.

If the bleed screw is too open then there is too much air going into the engine an not enough fuel.
