I want to upgrade the stock injectors soon as I\'ve got a single turbo but still running stock ones, although only running .8 bar at present I wish to do some major upgrades in the coming months so I can up the boost a little. I\'m thinking about getting the bosch 1680 ones(overkill?), do they plug straight in or do I need a seperate fuel rail? also what is the common setup for high-ish power singles? 850cc primary and 1200cc+ ones on secondary? I\'m a bit thick when it comes to this area:D

Fuel pump question, Im thinking of getting the Walbro 255 ones...255 litres per hour I think, anyone else have these in their FD\'s? any good?

Front mount intercooler and Blitz NUR spec cat back going in soon so getting everything ready to push every bit of hp from the turbo.

1500cc+ will not fit the stock rail. You need an aftermarket secondary rail + fittings and a decent FPR ideally.

Whats high-ish power mean?! 850 primaries (as in stock sec injectors in the stock primary rail) I dont think are a good idea - they dont fit well and arent working how they were designed to I dont believe. Options are either: stock primaries and 1300s which fit the stock secndary rail, stock/prim and 1500+\'s in a custom secndary rail or if u are thinking of silly(er) power - custom primary and secondary rail kit with whatever size you like in them e.g. 4 x 1000, 4 x 1500 etc :) Or, you could use additional injectors - lots do but not my cup of tea personally - unless you are using a custom intake into which you can mount the additional bosses :D

To be honest I know a lot of people use them, but I\'m not the only one whos heard some bad things about Walbro pumps. Bosch every time for me, you can get them cheap next day in the UK which is nice - 040 in tank or 044 (or plural of) for more serious apps...bigger lines and a swirl pot would be worth consideration depending where you\'re going and what you intend to do with the car.

Every bit? so you\'re going to get a nice ported motor built then too? :rollin

Have fun, should be a quick car once tuned.

I have a single, these are my opinions from my experience.

I have fitted 850s in the primary rail with a little modification, they sit a little higher in the rail but i have had not problem with them at all and my idle is perfect even with bigger primary and secondary ports.  I admit they dont fit as well as standard ones but i have also heard if the gap between the sizes of the prim\'s and second\'s is too big you encounter a stage problem, if this is the case or not i dont know but as mine are working i will stick with it.

I have the light blue Bosch injectors for secondarys which i have heard different stories about, some say they are 1600cc and some say they are 1500cc.  I made my own rail as they are top feed and mazda are side feed. Jeff at reworx will supply you a rail ready to bolt on with injectors.

PUMPS.  I bought a walbro 255 cos it was cheap.  When you look at one you will see why they are cheap, they are smaller than mazdas. I was dubious so i did a quick flow test. It only flowed about 10% more than the mazda one. I wasnt happy so i fitted the mazda pump to run my primaries and the walbro to run my secondaries. I have just bought 2 bosch pumps for the 20b and they are a completely different item, they just look far superiour than the walbro and when you turn them on you hear they are hughly powerfull! and only a little over 100 quid plus vat.

I will replace my walbro with one soon.

400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!
