Audio Wiring Query

Hi All,
 
I have a quick audio query with my \'89 Turbo II. Will soon be replacing the head unit and probably the door speakers. Under each seat there are some wires each with four blade connectors on the end.
 
ANyone know what these might be for?   I\'m hoping to be able to run some speakers off these but thought I would seek some advice first!

run new cable for your speakers mate they could be for a seat belt warning so if the seat is sat on the light comes on /possible for electric seats or  something else maybe
