Hi Guys,  My build thread above has some pics of the carb i ve taken off my 12A Series 2 engine ( at least im told its a series 2!).  I am replacing the Nikki Carb with a Webber 45 Dcoe, and need to purchase a manifold.  I ve found a manifold which should be fine but it only has four ports.... my gasket that came off has four ports, my engine appears to have six ports although 2 are blocked and my old manifold has six ports.... :3Confused

So im a bit confused lol!  The engine has yet to be started and im aiming to have the webber on prior to starting but don\'t want to purchase a four port manifold only to find that i need a six port one!

Any ideas or steers in the right direction gratefully received!

Cheers

Those "Ports" are in fact holes into the inlet manifold for coolant to heat up the inlet manifold via coolant coming from the block.
You do have a 4 port engine still.
Block off the small holes in the rotor housings with checmical metal and you\'ll be fine.

Thanks Carl,  Thats exactly what i needed to know.  Some one has already blocked up two ports but i wasn\'t sure why and whether it was correct.  The engine i have is supposidly a fresh build but without having seen it built i wasn\'t sure if someone has mish mashed some parts together!!

I ll order my four port manifold for my weber :)

Cheers
