i figured i would start the thread so we can all share what setups we are running, what has and what has not worked, and just general info and experiences to help your fellow skidder stay slideways.

ill start....

86 egi

suspension:
HSD CS2 w/ camber plates
HotLine modded spindles
rear center camber bar

front
camber: 2.5-3.0
toe: 0
caster: stock

rear
camber: 1.0-ish
toe: 0 (my left side keeps moving due to not able to tighten bolt down enough)

engine: stock egi

brakes: stock

exhaust: hi-flow homemade something

drivetrain
stock clutch
welded diff

wheels
front: 17x8 et35 (use 25mm spacers so et10, still scrap but only at FULL lock)
rear: is whatever i can get my hands on

this setup works great for me, have no issues (right now) getn it sideways.  since i have the modded spindles at full lock my wheels do grind and i lose speed.  but i mainly use full lock if im running into trouble.  may need to add 5mm spacers and see what happens.  i figure once i go turbo or v8 i wont have any issues with losing speed:Giggle

You should look out for a TII and swap all your suspension mods over mate ;)

what are you\'re wheels rubbing on? I thought the S4 LCA\'s were supposed to give a fair bit of clearance when it came to lock

is it really dodgy on wet days? i bought the car for fun on wet days and with the standard diff its dissapointing... wouldent mind a little more action but nothing suicidal on public roads, wonder who welds up here.......

monterx7

not too bad.  once you get use to it, you dont even think about it

When i finally get my finger out i\'m gonna stick an FD diff in my FC, something about \'welded diff\' just sounds like a bodge job and it puts me off :Giggle

for skidding the fd diff wont be too good. It will get you round a roundabout, but even an open can just about do that. FC\'s and fd\'s have a pretty sturdy rear set up so there don\'t tend to be too many issues with a welder. Also you never have the problem of it locking up when you\'re not expecting it to which makes it much much safer imo. Also the extra power you get down on the road is extremely noticeable!
