as the title says i need a bit of help due to the central locking failing on my car. doesnt work at all on the passenger side, i now have to manually unlock the passenger door by hand to open it.
anybody know a way of fixing this?
cheers.

Can you hear the mechanism working at all?  If not then start looking at wiring/motor failure.

If you can hear the motor straining then it\'s probably a case of the mechanism getting gummed up.  Remove the door card and lube it up, the work it manually until it free\'s up.

it used to work perfectly fine, never had any issues with it, so most probably wiring/motor failure.
ill check it out tomorrow.
cheers.

Passenger door motor is controlled by a switch in the drivers lock mechanism.  Check you don\'t have a blown fuse, and if that\'s all good, you\'ll probably have to take the door cards off to troubleshoot it - passenger side will get you onto the lock motor - if that\'s good, then the switch that operates it is actually in the lock button on the drivers side.

This is one of those occasions when the power probe comes in to it\'s own ;)

sorted it out now :] the mechanism was slightly gunked up so got it freely moving again but it was 1 of the fuses that had blown, the one marked as \'antenna\' which seems slightly odd to me.
working fine now anyways.
cheers for the help.
