Been seeing these words a lot lately on adds for cars, i dont mean just here, driftworks, pistonheads etc

Some of these cars have been advertised for months, a particular thread on Driftworks and the car has been for sale for 6+ months, the thread is literally littered with comments about what a bargain and how cheap it is and the price still keeps coming down and no buyers, some got quite annoyed when a member said whats your "best" price and abused him for not being willing to pay what is already a bargain!!

So is the word cheap/bargain accurate, or is it more of a cliche?

I think everything it advertised as this, people use words like this to help \'sell\' what ever it is.

i guess these cars appear to be a bargain based on other cars that have sold recently. Generally (from my experience) bargain tends to be used when the car has a lot of nice bits on it rather than being a solid car. Though a car is only worth as much as someones willing to pay for it. If no ones willing to pay the "bargain" price it\'s not a bargain.

Real bargains sell pretty much instantly

I think even though people do recognise things as being a bargain but everybody will try get something for nothing. I would gladly accept something for free instead of paying anything for it. There is an rx8 for sale for £800 or so on here with running problems, even with a knackered engine a person with spare time to break the car could double there money easily, but because it\'s cheap and has running problems people don\'t want to pay for something they might have to have an engine rebuild on.

I would have bought it if my rx4 was finished, prety much with most of these other bargains that are around.
