Hi.
If I was to fit an Apexi ECU, how much would I be looking at to get it all mapped properly for the car, and secondly, would I get away with running it on the base map or not?
I\'ve got a RE-Amemiya induction kit, decat and an unknown cat back system

hi mate i believe the base map of the power fc runs rich so would be ok i ran mine on base map for about 3 months(induction kit straight through exhaust from turbos back) with no problems .but i must say when i got it mapped at wgt the difference was great. smoother running, the jerkyness i had was gone ,and im now getting more mpg.had mine mapped two weeks ago money well spent. think i paid between £270 & £300

Seems to be about the best way to spend £300 on an FD! Interestingly, i\'ve seen some cars produce less peak power after a re-map, but due to the actual delivery of the power the car is quicker, more driveable and also more economical. Nice!

Hey Gaz do you have any more pics of your FD? Looks like an extremely nice example there, mate! :cool

5 of us got our cars mapped for £200 each by REworx.

It might be worth pointing out that although the Apexi base map is very rich at idle I\'m not sure anyone on here\'s every dyno\'d on through the load range...  a 4th gear pull showing high engine loads might highlight any weak points in the map.

For the few hundred quid it\'ll cost to get mapped it\'s got to be worth the safety - certainly better than risking a good few thousand quid on a rebuild.

I paid WGT a little over £500 recently and got mapping plus silenced de-cat and a suspension set-up.  So I guess hte mapping was ~ £200 or so.
