Snetterton; this well known Norfolk circuit has undergone a radical change making it not only longer but largely resurfaced and reprofiled for the modern era. If you\'ve not tried it - this HAS to be your chance! The multi million pound development last winter has resulted in the "300" circuit adding seven new corners ensuring that getting the right line to carry speed down the straights is now even more demanding.
 
Never done a trackday before? As on all trackdays, they are well managed and marshalled. There will be a comprehensive, compulsory, safety briefing at the start of the day for all drivers, followed by some slow “sighting laps” behind a lead car. There will be plenty of experienced trackheads present who will be only too happy give assistance to any novices.
 
Provisional timings are:
 
Event Type: Open Pitlane**
Sign On 7:30 till 8:30
Safety Briefing 08.30
Sighting Laps at 9:00
Lunch break 12:30 â€" 13:30
Finish - 17.00
 
** “Open Pitlane” means you are free to drive on the circuit when you like, for as much as you like, subject to safe numbers on circuit. If you have a standard RX-8, then expect to get about 10-15 minutes on track with around 25-30 minutes to “cool-off”, else you, your engine, tyres and brakes will overheat!
 
Circuit Statistics:
Length: 2.99 miles
Corners: 13
Max Noise: 105dB Static (shouldn’t be a problem for any RX-8 I’ve heard)
 

COST/PAYMENT - Booking via the MoT website - £109 before 10th October (£149 there after)
REQUIREMENTS - Helmets are required, and you MUST bring along your driving license (both parts if you have them) on the day for inspection.
EXTRA DRIVERS - £25 each
PASSENGERS - £10 each
INSURANCE - Insurance is not compulsory, and your normal road insurance is unlikely to cover you. Please look at the separate “Trackday Insurance” thread for advice and make your own judgement.
INSTRUCTION - £25 for ~20mins (highly recommended for first timers)

,see if I can get some brass ones back I really could not get my speed back after that spin :Grrr
