Hi everyone,

I am just wondering if anyone has installed a gearbox temperature sensor at all to their box? It seems to make sense with higher power rotaries as everyone wonders how their engine is with regards to temperature, but no-one seems to have a sensor to check on how the gearbox is where all the power is going!

Has anyone installed a temp sensor on the gearbox at all?

I would worry about a sensor coolers are more common.
There not general needed if your worried some boxes come with a closed pipe that you take off to add one. E.g. Mr2 turbo have it banked of but can be put on yet all st205 gt4s have the cooler. Same turbo engine same type of box made from same material.
Again i know of 600 bhp threw both with no issues.
My advice if it has the blanks put a small cooler on it won\'t hurt. But mostly i wouldn\'t worry boxes don\'t tend to get that hot + they use silly oil 75w90 means they can handle extreme heat without getting to thin. Other option is put higher grade 75w120 if you can find it. Just make sure with boxes the 1st number is the same and the second is same or higher. Hope this helps
