Hi everyone

I just thought I would start a thread on this as everyone on here would have owned loads and loads of different cars and indeed repaired or tuned them slightly.

From time to time you stumble on a really useful article that you thought \'wow thats pretty good\' and then save it somewhere, as everyone has had different cars im sure there are lots of those sort of \'useful lists\' or tips and tricks for different engines ranging from the A series engine in minis to a Honda B series engine or a Mazda BP-05 etc.

I thought I would start this thread (and perhaps if it works make it a sticky) for useful resources that people have had over the years for someone else to find and then use - an example is if I do get a track car it might have a Ford Pinto engine in, but ive never worked on that engine, however someone else would have done.

Here are a few things that I have picked up so far:

The first to were recomended to me via a friend who has them and uses them a lot of reference:

Graham Bell - four stroke performance tuning

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Four-stroke-Performance-Tuning-Practical-Guide/dp/1844253147/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1311516106&sr=8-7

Graham Bell - forced induction performance tuning

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Forced-Induction-Performance-Tuning-H691/dp/1859606911/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1311516106&sr=8-6

Here is a good reference book on tuning the A series engine:

David Vizard - tuning the A series engine

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tuning-Engine-Definitive-Performance-Economy/dp/1859606202/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1311516212&sr=1-1

And more recently I have had a look at the VAG 1.8T 20V engine - a very tunable engine due to parts, here is a rebuild video (I think there are 5 parts)

Here is a rebuild video on the Honda B series engine - very detailed due to the high end build

Please feel free to post up other references and links on other guides or sites you have found to be useful!
