The problem with asking for advice is you\'ll get it - and not all of it will be what you want to hear ;)

With any modded car - you don\'t have to drive it flat out, and the car should be driveable slowly to get you used to it before going hell for leather.

The roll cage is a good idea if you want to do track days or drag strip - but isn\'t a necessity - there are a lot of 500+ hp cars on the streets with no roll cages.

The vented bonnet - I have to agree with you - I think the vmount setup would work better if the upper air path has somewhere to exhaust too - either get an old bonnet and have someone professionally butcher it for you, or get an off the shelf one.

No point in you having a fast street FC - as you never drive it much :):Laugh

Quote from: m1tch;767955How would the airflow work for a V mounted IC without a vented bonnet lol thats a bit like bolting a plate of metal behind a FMIC and wondering why its not working :2Rolleyes
The air exits exactly the same way as it does with a conventional setup - it flows through the IC and evacuates down the tunnel and out the rear of the bay at the base. It also means no adding big ugly bonnet vents, and no messing with the stock aero and cooling.
It\'s absolutely nothing like putting a plate behind an FMIC, so no need for the condescending rolling of eyes. A properly ducted V mount with a stock bonnet is still devastatingly effective when on the move.

QuoteWhy wouldn\'t I want a cage and harnesses? Car has no ABS or airbags, car will be running almost 300% stock power :2eek

I\'m not saying you wouldn\'t dude, but the point I\'m trying to make is that you don\'t need those to get the new setup up and running. I\'d love a half cage and a decent suspension setup, but they aren\'t neccessary to get my car running and mapped - it\'s not mutually inclusive.
Get the car running and enjoy it. Every time I drive my unmapped car I get hugely frustrated that I can\'t put my foot down, because instead of concentrating on getting 100% of the engine bits I need and getting it mapped, I\'ve spent money on spangles and trinkets. If I hadn\'t done that I could at least drive it without worrying about it imploding all the time! :Hammer

Ok, Bride race seat with 6 point harness holes has been removed and some OEM seats have been put in its place, what else should I not worry about? :Thumbs-up
