Does anyone know what cable does what on the full range S5 TPS, I\'ve got the plug crimped on it ready to go but need to know what is what and neither of the diagrams on foxed.ca match these colours.

Cheers

Typically those colours aren\'t on the UK wiring diagram, as it only shows the colours of the wires going to the original plug and not the wires to the actualy sensors - doh.

I can take a look tomorrow and post up the info, but basically, one of those wires goes to ground, one goes to 5v ref on the ECU, and the remaining wire is the \'wiper\' which will vary between close to 0v and close to 5v depending on position of the TPS.

Usually - and nothing Mazda does suprises me anymore - the centre one would be the variable one, but I would want to test it with a meter to be sure.  Basically the TPS is a potentiometer with a resistance of about 5K.

OK - Update as promised.

On Mine - the RED wire connects to a Brown/White wire which is 5V Ref from ECU.

Yellow wire connects to a Black/Green wire which is the Wide TPS input to the ECU

Blue wire connects to a Brown/Black wire which is a Ground connection.
