Has anybody ever heard of or used a N374 ecu chipped with the JAM Super Tuning System?

I have a S5 T2 swap that the ECU died. I bought this ecu off of somebody that thought it should work on my 7 but it won\'t even let me retrieve the error codes.  I have to keep the idle above 1000 rpm or it stalls and even if it is idling after a minute or so it will just shut off.

Anbody have any advice........ thanks

Firstly welcome to MRC :D

Well at least its an FC ECU lol its one built by Knightsports, so might be slightly different to the Mazda OEM sort.

Have you checked all over for any air leaks etc?

Thanks for the link.

I\'ve had this 7 since last October. It wasn\'t running when I bought it. The PO blew the rear apex seal. The car was originally a 1990 automatic GXL and the PO swapped in a 1990 T2 and 5 speed, 3 inch exhaust and a Walbro 255 pump. He didn\'t upgrade the injectors. He told me that it ran great until he blew it up.
After I bought it, I swapped in another 1990 T2 engine, added 720 cc injectors and a RTek 1.7.  I\'ve never been able to get it more than 100 yds from the garage. With the original ecu,  it idles great, steady 850 rpm. But, it runs really crappy. It has no power and cuts out and backfires constantly. Its actually hard to get it to move on a level road.
After lots of troubleshooting and suggestions I\'ve removed the UIM and checked fro leaks, changed  the CAS, TPS, swapped in  a new Walbro 255 pump, swapped out the OMP, and now i"m moving on to trying a new ecu.
Shouldn\'t I be able to pull error codes from the n374?
What a PIA?

What map was the car running when you changed the injectors? the mapped ECU that was in the car would have used the OEM 550s, just run them slightly longer up to 0.9bar, if the turbo wastegate wasn\'t ported it might have boost spiked and then detonated due to it going lean.

If you are running 720s and its not mapped for it it will overfuel and cause bad running ie running WAY too rich.

Given the mods you have done I would recommend getting a fully mappable ECU in there... Chances of getting it running correctly and safely as it is sound slim to me.

Do you mean something like the RTek 2.1 or a whole stand alone system?

I found another N370 with the RTek 1.7 already installed. I\'m going to give that one more shot.

I also have an extra wiring harness, if the new ecu doesn\'t pan out, I was thinking of swapping in the wiring harness just to be sure the problem doesn\'t lie with the harness. Its the harness that came with the car and the PO said that it ran really good until he blew the apex seals. But, previous owners never lie.

I appreciate the advice about the mappable ECU. thanks

I changed the injectors and installed the RTek 1.7 at the same time. The Rtek is mapped for the 720cc injectors. I probably should have attempted to get it running with the stock setup before upgrading the injectors and ECU.

I returned the Knightsports ECU. It was mapped way too rich for my setup. Even at idle it would  load up on fuel and stall.  Until you mentioned it, I didn\'t realize that was what was happening. Would have been a lot cheaper to just switch back to the stock injectors.

I\'ve had 5 2nd gen 7s and this is actually my first money pit.
