Hey folks, I\'m making my own v mount setup on my FC, I have the intercooler and metal to make ducting and brackets but I\'m struggling to find a suitable alloy radiator :-s and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on what would be the beast radiator to use or the best to re weld and make fit, any pictures of other peoples setups would be great also, thanks

im using an fd rad if thats any help...?
typical mod is skyline rad else if you feel rich then get a koyo rad :)
2 doritos on a stick woohoo :rollin

Ah I see, here comes the avalanche of questions now lol, is it a standard fd rad or aftermarket? Could you pm me a few photos of your setup? Is there any particular model of skyline or are they mostly the same? Do koyo make a rad specific or would it have to be cut and welded?

If someone has one for sale I\'ll be interested :-)

i used an R32 radiator, fits right in between the chassis beams.
only had to change the connections

I have a group buy on the Koyo radiators if that is of any use?

We only need a couple more to get the first discount.

not really usable for v-mount, they are too narrow.
i had the koyo before and tried to figure something out with that, but its just no good.

Timmyc

Ah I see what you mean about the koyo rad being a bit thin, I\'m thinking my best would be an FD rad, thanks for mentioning the group buy but think I\'ll pass on it, thanks for the pics really help :-)

been thinking about this but rotating it so that the bottom outlet is in the middle at the top and the bent outlet is bottom left, the bend meaning its not going to be as close to the ground as a straight one, whats peoples views on this? possible or stupid?

Furb

Cut them off and get them welded to where ever you like

Its possible, but If you do it like this you get an ugly hose in the front of your bumper ;)
