First of all sorry if this is in the wrong section!

Drove my fd for the first time in 3 weeks today due to just getting my long awaited company car :) just in time for winter woohoo

Anyway let it warm up for half an hour before even thinking about booting it. Wouldn\'t even grip in third gear so cruised down the motorway at bout 60 and noticed my heaters were blowing out cold air even on full heat?

Anyone got any explanations? I\'ve got a vented bonnet which does let alot of heat out and my heaters arn\'t the greatest but never had cold air blowing through?

Thanks

RXSpeedy

Heater Matrix would be my first guess.

Bonnet should not make any difference

Give the car a run and then check the heater pipes that go through the bulkhead on the passenger side and check if both are hot,

If one is really hot and the other not so much then it will be a switch fault meaning the valve on the heater is not opening and letting the hot water through the heater matrix and hence no heater.
All the best Clive

I know in honda 4 pots this meant low coolant so give that a check.

Most of the time its just low on coolant, had another car was the same topped up coolant and was fine, u might have to top up and let it circulate then top up more

When our old works Transits lost the heater it was a sure sign they were about to do a head gasket about a week later. Is it the head gasket going? :rollin

If it were low coolant the coolant buzzer would be going off.
Have you got a power FC or water temperature gauge (not the dash one, although I guess that might be some use, although tbh it\'s usually less than hopeless)?
If so, what\'s it reading?

If not, try feeling the top hose and see if it\'s hot.

If the water is hot, but you have no heat, then it\'s somewhere in the heater circuit (matrix/pipework) or the air flow flapper thingy. Have you ever had heat from the vents?
If the water isn\'t hot, then it\'s most likely your thermostat is boned.
