I saw not so far from me, an Elford Turbo. It\'s complete and original, but stopped from some times, some rust and with 106.000miles on it.
On the Brian Long\'s books, I\'ve read that the early Elford Turbo were not so reliable... I could try to see it, but it 700km far away from me...
You think mileage will be too much or not?
Someone have better info on those engines?
Thanks!

download the ebook I\'ve just put up. There\'s loads of Elford articles and info in there.

100,000 miles is a bit high and likely will need a rebuild soon if not already.
Elfords were pretty reliable really running only 6psi boost so not to hard on the engines.
Hope that helps.

Carl
We warranty our rebuilt engines for Detonation, track day\'s and RWYB and NOW for 30 months which is two and half years or 30,000 miles
We also build all types of race or road engines.
We build race and track cars too.
Any kind of porting undertaken.

Thanks Carl. If the seller lower the price, Sunday i came to see it. Hope it could take me home, then it could pass away. Eventually I put the kit on my Mk. II :yes

don\'t worry too much about the engines.... Elford used the standard 12a engine with the same compression and there are still plenty of 12a engines about. Just swap the Elford stuff ( including the sump) onto a good 12a engine and you\'ll be good to go.
