Your thoughts please

Hi.  As you can probably tell i\'m new to the RX scene so would like to know some thoughts on my current setup, good, bad or horrific!!
 
I currently have a street port with a T88, full 4 inch custom pipe (which is so loud it hurts to drive) and other bits to go with this setup.  The engine is not run in yet after re-build (long story) so no boost yet, still on cruise map, but I\'m already thinking of changing the turbo and exhaust as have heard about horrendous lag, and the fact that it is nigh on impossible to get a mid section silencer fitted this exhaust.  
 
As i say I have not run it in yet so it may be drivable (and fun) but just wanted to hear some experience of this type of setup.

nothing wrong with that setup, the 4inch will help with power and a little bit with spool, its all the other stuff we need more info on.

Your fuel setup, any water injection, what ecu, any pics?

well still getting to grips with the setup as have only had it for 10days, but Apexi PFC, greddy front mount, 1600 secondary fuel rail, street ported rebuild, trying to get hold of Koyo rad and slimline fan, air con gone, not sure about throttle body!
 
think thats it for now, but will post with more info when i work it out.  it needs dressing up so bit embarressed about pics

I know i\\ve asked before but does anyone know where I can get a silenced mid section with a 4 inch bore?:xconfused

nope tried that, only 3 inch bore.  I was told that trust make one but no idea where to find them.

Why dont you just get one of them exaust companies to make you one.

As far as I know, the largest Trust make is 3.5inch/90mm. Same goes for most other Jap brand exhausts. If you need a 4inch one you will probably have to get one made.

Tried WGT and he sounded surprised that it had that size pipe, and he could make one but would take months and he said it wouldn\'t make any difference.  Guess I\'ll need to try elsewhere.
 
Any other views on the setup, and anyone else running this type of older style gear?

And they have told me will probably be too big for the application.  
 
Anyone else running one of these silencers or something similar?

You just weld a 4 inch silencer box into the mid pipe.
Or swap out the whole exhaust. Are you sure its a 4 inch DP?
Or if like your saying you are worried about lag, then just wait till you change turbo.
