Hi guys, after I got my block to heater hose fixed I have been driving around in the car every weekend, I am now paranoid of getting another coolent buzzer.

I have just done an full oil and filter change, started to car up and checked for leaks.

There is now a leak on the same side, same place as where it was leaking before, except I can\'t see where it is leaking from. it is too fluid to be oil, so I am guessing its either coolent (again) or power stearing fluid.

The oil filter I was told will fit is a Champion oil filter, rather than the blueprint one that it replaces, its a bit smaller than the blueprint one I changed it for, but sits on the oil pedestal fine and there are no leaks around it - I gave the pedestal a good clean when I had the filter off.

What other coolent lines leak around that area, its not the core drain plug thats too far forward, its leaking in an area between the last rotor plate and the gearbox, its just slightly dripping on idle. When I have more time I will get the engine up to temperature and increase the revs to increase the water pressure.

What else leaks over there? I havn\'t touched any of the lines around there before or after the oil change and it doesn\'t drip when the engine is off. Its probably something minor like an outer water seal rupture of some tiny o ring that you can\'t get to

Need some help on this now, car isn\'t going anywhere until this is fixed :(

Mitch, I have had 2 leaks now from the heater to the block water pipe, first time it split completely and I lost all my water, the second time the jubilee clip came loose. To my knowledge thats the only water lines around that side. I would make sure that its mega tight matey.

Ah ok, I will try and get my hand down there again, I have ABS so its basically impossible to do, so I got the whole lot replaced at the garage when they did the compression test.

I will check later in the week :)

Isn\'t that the same side as the clutch slave cylinder?. Give that a check over whilst your at it bud. They seem to be prone to leaking.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

It could be that, ironically the clutch slave cylinder on my MX5 is leaking as well

I will have a look when I can and report back :D

Right, I have taken out the rear rotor\'s plugs and HT leads to get to it, it was the heater hose just weeping a bit, its a new hose, so I guess it might have just settled. I had to create a new tool to find out what was leaking, you need:

1 X head torch
1 X long screwdriver
1 X roll of electrical tape (colour of your choice)

And you get this:

The patented \'I can now see whats leaking\' magic light stick :D
