Yorkshire Meet

Well its that time of year again, and seen as though there doesn’t seem to be much else going on in the north I thought I would post about my local drag strip York Race Way.

  Its a reasonable track to run on, I myself have done 128 terminals there and have seen many 10/11 second runs although the run off area does get a little rough at the far end, the access roads are also a little rough but again as long as you keep your speed down they are fine as I have never had a problem with 35mm ground clearance.

  That said the fees are reasonable at £10 entrance and £30 RWYB, although I should point out that I have never done less than 10 runs at York baring weather or mechanical failure.  It’s a club run strip so it’s a very friendly place where every one is happy to have a chat or race, after the group qualifying is finished they don’t mind inter group racing, so you can still spank the evos and make them feel bad:3gears-lh

  I am Putting this on all the rotary forums I\'m a member of but please feel free to spread the word, the more the merrier, speaking of witch if anyone wants to attend a full weekend camping is available with an onsite bar :guinness and if we get enough cars they may even give us a rotary only class :burnout

  Any body that would be travelling to this should get in touch as I live locally and don’t mind a few bodies in the living room or I know a B&B who will do cheap rates and keeps the bar open :cheers

  All meets at York feature RWYB and some 0-60 timing rather than 60\' times on one lane so we can even have a little shoot out, the meets have now been confirmed so.............................

First meet is Easter weekend so who might be attending,
