any tips for lining up exhaust sections?

been playing around with my new exhaust bits today but i can\'t line the midpipe up with the downpipe.
 
i can get one bolt through the downpipe and into the mid but the flange is twisted and i can\'t seem to get the other hole lined up - i know they fit because i test fitted them before putting them on the car.
 
first time i\'ve ever done this so, any tips?

Answered on FDUK. You always start from the front.

Screwdriver through the holes or get someone to weld a threaded bolt on the other flange to use as a pin to line up the parts

you need to connect to the down pipe first (as this is a solid fix to the engine) then you can twist the rear section on the rubber mounts to line up the 2 bolts.
