Picked up my car from Andy Robinson race cars today :D

That clutch at the front looks like a monster size version of the lock-up clutches drag bikes use?
 
Could the clutch possibly be off of something like a top methanol or top fuel dragster as they use progessive clutches dont they?
 
or is it progressive gear boxes? i cant remember.
