I have a couple of hundred quid to spend on a new front brake system, hawk pads and brembo/black diamond groved discs have been coming highly recommended from previous threads on here, but where can I get them nice and cheap...

Question is... where can I get them cheapy cheap, or what\'s the best alternative? Remember, couple of hundred quid...

I\'ve bought from a couple of places, but can\'t falt MRP for service and delivery - very rapid turnaround.

Depending on the manufacturer of the grooved discs, some have to send blanks off to be machined - so allow for extra time if this is needed.  Having said that I\'ve had turnaround on Black Diamond stuff within a 1 week !

That\'s a good combo with Hawk pads too.

MRP used to do the black diamond disks, but it looks like they just do pads at the moment, so get the hawk pads from there and get the black diamond disk from:

http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/

They do either the OEM, grooved, drilled or drilled and grooved disks, im personally going to go for the grooved ones, they work out at about £300 for both sets :)

Grooved front = KBD357G = £143.27
Grooved rear =                      KBD452G = £128.93

Those are the ones I am going to go for, but have a look on the site :) they also have some different makes on there :)

Thats great, I semi know the guys who run MSW - Colin and Gary. Both nice guys from my dealings with them!

MRP don\'t list discs atm, but its worth phoning up and asking.

I know that MRP did do disks as that is where prof got some for his FC, and I agree with the friendly dealings with MSW as I asked a question regarding springs and they got back to me right away with exactly what I needed to know :)

Good deal?

Up to you, those are plain vented sort - so OEM replacement, the Black diamonds are the same price together, but are grooved/drilled/grooved and drilled

Prof

I used them to get a stock clutch for the wifes 300zx - they were ok to deal with and shipped reasonably quick. You might want to find out if they can do the grooved disks as well - although £300 for 4 isn\'t a bad price.

I\'d still check out the advertisers on the forum as well - you might be pleasantly suprised at their prices when it comes to items like brakes.

Sorry guys, didn\'t realise these Discs were not visable on our Gen 2 braking section,

BTW if you search MRC you will find that I have asked Brembo and they do not sell a direct fit aftermarket Disc for the FC or FD.

One company who had branded these perfomance Discs up as "Brembo" actualy came on and admited this and that they were selling Discs that didn\'t have a mum or dad as Brembo !!

Here\'s a link to our section if you want to have a look at BD discs

There was a guy on RX7 club that milled out the centre of the brake disc for an Evo - they were Brembo blanks - but as Clive said - it\'s not a direct fit.
