The illumination behind the oil pressure and water temp gauge on my FD3 has gone low - presumably a bulb has gone behind the dash....

How do I get to the bulb to replace it?  Do I have to have the dash out?  Hopeing that there is a quick easy way before I have the car in bits!!!! Any help would be great. :Thumbsup!

undo the screws under the steering cowel then the panel with the nut blower not forgetting to take out the side vent theres a screw in there . then the center gear stick pannel lift up and backwards  two phillips at the base of the stereo panel then two phillips buy the top of the heater panel then undo a couple more as you take these panels off that are hidden . then pull the binnacle towards the drivers seat and you should be able to get to the bulbs at the back

Small update on this - I\'ve not yet had the dash out, but I have thumped the dash twice with the flat of my hand, which seems to have cured the problem for the time being, I guess it\'s just a loose connection.:Giggle

You don\'t need to remove the heater control panel or gearchange surround.

Remove the steering cowl and lower trim panel as said, pull off the side trim around the heater ducts carefully, then it\'s three screws, two underneath and one at the side. Binnacle will then pull forward as a complete piece like this:

You might not need to unplug the wiring from the back if you know which bulb has gone. If you\'ve enough dexterity you\'ll prob be able to replace it without disconnecting everything.
