i was gutted that i couldn\'t go bolney today as i had to work, but seens its a nice day i thought i\'d go for a blast with some mates, i\'d just pulled on to the a13 , with my engine well up to temp, i give its some stick then the car just kind of pulled back sharpley, started throwing out puffs of grey smoke and was going flub, flub, flub! then if you tried to accelerate it just dont pick up at all and spits and backfires! the idle is now all over the place. any ideas?
just before rotorstock too, gutted!
cheers

No!!!

That\'s really bad news Tom, as if you needed me to say that, right?

Get it to someone to check it over, I\'m hoping you\'re not right in your diagnosis, but it doesn\'t sound promising :(

Check the hose to MAP sensor has not popped off - a little black box on the firewall just to the right of the plenum - the symptons sound about right. Of course they do sniff of some thing more expensive too :(

Good luck mate...
