I am doing a single turbo conversion and want to know where I need to connect the vacuum line to from the unit on the side of the UIM. I believe it is called the double throttle control actuator.
Normally this would have been connect somewhere via a solenoid but these have all gone as part of my single conversion.
Please can someone tell me where I should connect it and if I need to put a one way valve in the line for it? If so is it working under vaccum or pressure?

Thank you

it is only there to stop you hammering the car when its cold, as long as you are careful you can just leave it disconnected as it is normally open or remove it all, take the butterfly\'s out, remove the shaft and plug the hole.

Arrh. I am normally careful but that explains why on the couple of times I have given the car a bit of throttle before it\'s warmed up it felt slow as hell! like someone had disconnected the turbo\'s! Out they come then!

Yep that\'s the reason there there..... If the motor still has the factory Thermo pellet in it won\'t do it much good booting it from cold. You have to exercise caution if you do decide to remove them.

If you beast a car from cold you deserve to get damage from it. Double throttle came straight out of mine as I like to think I have some mechanical sympathy!

what is the main benifit of removing this item?
if i had 8 hour to cut down a tree. i`d spend 6 sharpening the axe

Better airflow, less restriction and gubbins on the car.
