fd handbrake adjustment?

I have an mot tonight on an fd and the rear handbrake is really rubbish it cant hold the car at all!

the car has not been used for nearly 14 months apart from being started up and moved a little the brakes have not had use,and the handbrake is not working is there any adjustment on them and where to please?

i have to work and have about 20 min spare between getting home and to the mot garage so im hoping a little adjustment can be done quick and easy!

oh i do like leaving things to the last second!

There is an adjuster at the base of the handbrake lever as the cable enters the mechanism.
