Quote from: ianelvar;404187For a project I\'m working on. Looking for any information I can get hold of, as I want to build a standalone driver for an oil memtering pump.

Anything you\'ve got would be much appreciated :Thumbsup!

just trawling,, and i noticed this old chestnut

i teamed up with my electronic fiend friend and went there
,, this is the result

The Electronic Oil Metering Pump Controller - And other technical errata..

primarily,, it was aimed to help those with s4 car, dash and  ECU,,
wanting to run the s5 block direct ( with injector ballast bypass )
without the multitudes of issues encountered in trying to rig the s5 ECU or retro-fitting the s4 timing cover

but also at those with LPG,, wanting to run the variable EOMP of late blocks
( i myself was forced to a mech pump and timing cover conversion when i first went LPG )

if you are still looking for the info\'s ,, all these years down the track -
i can relate to your the mechanism by which mazda went about to use this
-- and also the crude info i have for the map it used related with rpm and load
-- some of it is mazda bulletin,, others SAE and also anecdotes from ken

Very nice bit of kit. Did you ever think of making it in to a kit ??

unfortunately,, not a lot of demand for a device that saves $$$ on timing cover swaps,, ECU exchanges
-or gets around the outboard 2 stroke smoke joke at every fill !

- too many just blank it,, or ignore it,, and just top up the oil lots
 ( if left defaulted )
or just pull down the blinkers when joe public laughs at them
---cause they add oil to the petrol at the servo

we can make them on demand,, or to order for other purposes,, on a one is one private basis
( entirely hobby assembly )
-- to show what its capable of,, we have a 5a version capable of running the TRC blade on supra engines
( ie,, follow the TPS, but self adjust at low rpm to set point idle ,, and interact for throttle cut on high boost and overrev=== IE LPG !!! )

-- so its not all EOMP,,.,, theoretically you could use it to dial in torque split on your audi
---or any other device that uses feedback stepper control

Its very cool. The FB has a 12a cover on the 13b engine running on LPG and this would have enabled me to keep the original cover and Oil sump and welded in some mount adapters. Would mean not needing an ecu to control the OMP and have the car running on a conventional carb.
