Just been chatting to BBCFC regarding his 1680cc injectors, he has these injectors:

http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/product_info.php/products_id/577

They have the blue tops:

Whereas I have these injectors:

And they have a white top:

The only difference I can see between them is that the blue ones are being phased out and they are \'indy\' whereas mine aren\'t lol.

Can anyone help with the differences? they both have the same resistance, flow rate and connectors lol

Just found a bit more info on another forum:

Bosch
0280150845 680cc - Purple tops
2.8 ohms
( 14mm top, 16mm bottom )

--------------

Bosch
0280150842-1580cc -Indy Blue tops
## unusual 4.5 ohms
( 14mm top, 16mm bottom )
apparently also marketed as -
* Accel 74160
* FAST 3016000
* Marren 05160
* Marren 051600PI ( 11mm rail fit )

US Ford motorsport fit part

--------------

Bosch
0280150846 - 1650 cc -white tops
( 14mm top, 16mm bottom )
## unusual 4.5 ohms
is reputedly similar as the earlier blue
[ but alcohol, CNG and LPG vapour compatible ]
( some tests rate them as only 1300 cc )
the blue is a ford USA motorsport item, hence the indy term
the white is a specialised alcohol injector, with heavy pintle , a little slower than the rest
Ford PN:
Ford XL3E-C9A / Ford XL3Z-9F593A
motorcraft - MICM4980

US ford CNG fit part

Does that mean that my white top injectors aren\'t as fast as the indy blue ones BBCFC has?

both \'o\' rings are different colour and also as you mention the tips are different colour (blue / white) :driving

Out of interest what flow rate are the white ones when used with LPG ??

I\'m in the process of fitting a set of the blue ones into the FD !

I think I read off the same forum I got that information off, that if used with LPG or alternative fuels they are classed as 1300cc :)

Would be interested in knowing if thats with vapourisor or with straight pressure regulated LPG.

Interesting read !

Well I know if I maxxed out all my injectors (2X550cc and 2X1680cc) It would be injecting just over 4 litres a minute, so that means my 72 litre tank will be gone in 18 minutes...but I would be a VERY long way away lol :D

Here are some indy blue tops im comparison to other injectors, and some 1680s being flow tested:

My 1680\'s are blue tops. They should be on my door mat, back from getting cleaned and flow tested when i get home - I\'ll post up what the results are :)
