Ditching power stering rack for a manual one.

Ok, im thinking of ditching my power steering rack on my 1990 FC3S Turbo II and replacing it with a manual one. I think it would prob provide more driver feedback from the road, not to mention loose a few all importaint Kg\'s
 
So my main questions are:
 
Could i put a rack in from a non p.a.s FC of same or similar year without much hastle?
 
And would anyone want to swap a p.a.s rack for a manual one? Only 62000 miles on it, Lol.
