It\'s dangerous stuff that water, you need to make sure it\'s not runing round the internal parts of the engine, or being injected somehow into the combus...

If I had just bought a car and within a week it tunrs out the water seals are gone, I would be asking a few questions of the seller? i suspect this might have been his reason for selling?

Found what looks like a part of water seal in the AST tank. Plus when it re-started it was putting out LOTS of white smoke.

Also, advice from what some RX7 specialists have said too.

I\'m gonna get it going etc before I do start to the work. If it\'s putting out lots of white smoke again and forcing coolant out the expansion tank I would say it\'s pretty much dead.

Yeah, I know what you\'re saying mate. I\'ve seen the car in the past. Watch it being started etc, etc at different times.

Sh*t happens and all that. I\'ll have it fixed and at least know it\'s ok.

I was gonna have it more or less off the road for the winter anyway.

Thats the spirit lol, you do have to be slightly mental to own a RX7, I think I have spent approx £12k on mine and it spends more time in the garage than anywhere else.. but I wouldnt have it any other way. :Talking1

advise is to label abs  everything, can also take digital pics to remind you....

Yeah... I\'ve taken an engine out before and swapped everything form one block to a bare block. Then put it back in.

I had masking tape and a pen to label stuff up last time. (fuel lines etc)
