its not the same as the standard mazda one, the 1 ive got is a big round plastic thing :2Confused did they make a different type off fuel filter for a 3rd gen rex.
allso change solenoids as in other thread and all is ok and sorted my boost problem out

The one Mazda would sell you is a black powder coated item. Hides behind the rear diff.

Not sure what you\'ve got! Did you buy it from Mazda?

I know some owners relocate the fuel filter for easier access, maybe you\'ve got one of these?

dont no what it is, got a new fuel filter and went to fit today and found this big black plastic filter instead off stock mazda 1, could not even get it out so bolted it back in.
they must off changed it in japan for this 1

Sure that big black plastic thing isn\'t the charcoal canister for the petrol fumes? or is that just on the FCs?

dont no if it is where is the fuel filter, looked on net and all filters look like the one i got from shop, this thing is round with 2 petrol pipes coming from top and a pipe that comes from the bottom that just hangs there:2Confused

Have a look above the diff for the fuel filter.

Very basically it holds the fumes from the tank and every now and again they are drawn into the inlet manifold to be burnt.
