heya,

I spend an hour or so the other day removing my UIM and Throttle body intake off so I could send them away to be polished up.

Just wondering if there are any modifications/maintenance bits I should consider doing whilst these bits are off? As i`m not planning on taking them off again anytime soon lol.

Was thinking of removing the alternator too and having a go at replacing the hoses in the Rats Nest...but after reading up about people who have done it, I think I may avoid that as it sounds like an absolute pig of a job.
QuoteImpossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.

Our spanner monkey paddy is at a whiz at the rats nest if you want it doing matey.

Other than that if its boosting, then leave it alone :)

have you covered the holes on intake first as mistakes can happen and you dont want a nut or a bolt going down there:Nono!.  have a very good look at all the pipes on rats nest, if in good condition then no point changing them.

happened to me, the top of a screw driver fell off some how, all the others of the set are rock solid. any way, had an idea to get the hover out and cling, cling, clang whhhaayyy, to say i was pleased was an understatement lol.

i would just check all the pipes to see if there isnt any perished or cracked.
