Hey everyone, i woke up this morning with a plan to put a new bigger rad and intercooler on my fd3s ready for japfest, and got thinking about better ducting for the twin oil coolers to,now the thought hit me about v mounting the oil coolers on one side has anyone tried this? i can think it would give the oil less distance to travel but just wanted some other thoughts about it.
ps it will prob not happen cause im so lazy lately!

cant see the benefit of mount oil cooler..in upright postn they are getting full airflow
the reason for v mount is to duct air to twin units at same time ie i/cooler and rad with no obstruction
as the oil coolers have no such obstruction in the first place i would def not mess araound with them

We ran with 1 oil cooler for the last few years....that leaves plenty of space to use the other duct for the air filter....guarateed cold air then!  Just go bigger and use -12 lines...should be plenty of oil cooling....also make sure the ducting is tight, so no air spills around the side.
