Well last Monday I figured would be the ideal time to start fitting the mods to my car and what better place to start than with the power fc, nice straight forward job from what I read, fit, let it idle for 10mins, stick on the air con let it idle for 10mins then repeat with the demister

Didn’t exactly go to plan, I fitted everything started it up and it hunted for a min or 2 then settled down to a steady 750rpm where stayed for a 5mins, at this point I was about to stick on the air con when the revs dropped of and it stalled.
At this point I couldn’t restart it with out giving it some gas and as soon as I lifted of it would stall.
I did some further research and came across a power fc faq that mentioned winding in the idle air bleed (screw below the intake elbow) all the way closed then open half a turn before trying to install the ecu. I went to close the bleed valve and noticed that it was 2 or 3 turns open, but set it the half turn open as mentioned. I tried the idle learning process (at this point I didn’t know that I could or should re intialise the power fc) and had pretty much the same result - hunted, idled stably for a bit then stalled out
I tried a couple of more times, each time opening up the bleed valve more an more with the same result until I finally stuck the stock ecu on to see if there was some wrong, now the car runs fine but idles at 1000rpm.
Tomorrow I’m going to re adjust the bleed valve on the stock ecu to get it idling correctly â€" however should I try installing the power fc again?
anyone had any similar experiences or have any advise

Cheers
