I\'ve recently re-sealed my sump & it\'s not difficult just a bit time consuming although it gets a bit more problematic when all the threads start stripping in the bottom of the block!
You have to undo the engine mounts then either lift the engine from above or jack uo the gearbox and it\'ll take the engine up with it.
Then you need to undo the subframe from the chassis so you can pull it down enough to get the sump off, it\'s easier to do if you remove the subframe completely but that means unbolting it from the lower wishbones which takes a bit longer. It\'s about a 5 hour job!
Hope this helps!

Many thanks guys for all your help.

I\'ll investigate the OMP lines first, then I\'ll start on the sump re-seal.

Thanks for the tip about jacking the gearbox up to lift the engine as I would have had to hire an engine lift.

Thanks
Chris

Hi Guys,
Just a quick note to advise, I checked the OMP pipes today, all okay, no leaks and did not appear brittle (yet).

Cleaned the sump joint and cross member area where the leak was, so now I will run the car and will try check where the main origin of the leak is.

Noticed main source is on Turbo side of sump, plus a little just above the sump on the block where a cap is bolted to the block, close to the gearbox bell housing. 2 x approx M8 size set screws and the cap looks like it had a central hole at one time which has been plugged with weld.

Also found an old gasket for this cap inside the cross member.

Any ideas what this was used for ?

Thanks
Chris
