You gotta love fresh imports

Anyone any idea what this is, and what it should be connected to? looks like the wire has snapped...

Car seems to run fine, but idles at 1500 revs. However, I have just removed and blanked off the air pump, and have seen references to that happening when the AP is removed.

Does look like the wire for the lamda sensor to me too

pretty sure it\'s not the lambda - it\'s on the passenger side of the sump.
The Lambda was also disconnected, but that\'s been reconnected. As far as i can see that came from the lambda, connected behinf the UIM, and tehn disappeared into the loom.
I\'m wondering if it\'s something to do with the AC as it\'s in that vicinity, and my car is idling at 1500rpm, so i\'m wondering if this could be a sensor, and it may think the AC is running, and hence raising revs to compensate?

oil level sensor. Goes to the passenger side of the sump

Yup, that looks about right!
Is it vital? I tend to think things like this are a bit superfluous as they tend to only let you know when it\'s too alte!
Or does the one on the FD actually work? unlike the ones on every other hcar i\'ve had!
