Hi guys
right basically need some help as i dont really have much of an idea:

i have a gen twin turbo k reg and the engine decided to just stop working, it turns over fine and does try to fire but it cant quite manage it and if it does just about get going its ok with full revs but as soon as you drop the revs it just dies (maybe flooding itself?)

i would like to here some of your views, i have a theory myself but as im not a mechanic would like a bit of help.
i dont know but i would say its a fuel related problem?

cheers people

ps: yes there is fuel in the tank i double checked to make sure ha ha !

Is the battery full?? if you have a power fc it should be on there what volts you are producing, also if you have flooded the car there is info on this site as to how to sort it.

Good luck;)

hello mate
sorry may sound stupid but im new to these cars. what do you mean by fc? but either way i tried starting it with my brothers car and some jumps.
ill look up the info on flooding but i feel it may even be something to do with a sensor fault or summin? maybe the namba sensor?

It could well be a loose hose - there\'s a few that tend to come off or split that will give idling problems.

If it\'s actually starting then it\'s unlikely to be flooding.

Could be something more serious but look to the vaccuum hoses 1st then worry about the rest later on!

Problem with a car that doesn\'t run like this is an expert would probably sort it in a matter of minutes (or at least diagnose the problem).  Someone who knows nothing about them will take much longer (therefore cost more) and possibly mis-diagnose the problem and cost you many £s.
