I\'ve got my TII with fault engine in my car park and considering to fit a rebuild and ported engine..... need some advice from you guys rotary expert...please!!!

1. what is the different between normal and ported engine?
2. Do I need to re-map the ECU for the ported engine?
3. price??

Cheers guys!!!!!!! :burnout

1) depends on what sort of porting see here for info: http://www.mazdarotary.net/porting.htm

2) no you don\'t need to, but it will be pointless without a replacement ECU as the stock ECU would be the restrictive point. I ran a 1/2 brodge on the stock ECU for a while, it just ran VERY rich all the time!

3) depends on what needs doing as a rule a rebuild for a 13bT will be anything from £1500 - £3000 with porting coming in at £300-£500 depending on who does it
