Hi everyone,

I have just part ex\'d my FTO for a 92 Twin Turbo and very happy with it I am.

My back box has a hole in it so I need another. Mechanically the car is stock and I am planning on leaving it pretty much that way. I don\'t really want to get involved in aftermarket ECU\'s just to replace my back box so does anyone have any suggestions? Sound isn\'t really an issue and I am not looking for more horses so something that will look good and not cause any problems with the ECU.

Cheers,

Mark

could always go for a stock / mazdaspeed one they are quite popular in the uk and easily attainable... other than that sexy HKS, Apexi etc etc are also available, choice is yours to how much you wanna spend :)

Mark,

My thread on the same subject should help:

You could change the back box and have no worries with the ECU, it just depends on what you are looking for in terms of noise and appearance. I ended up with... well, read the thread and you\'ll see ;)

Hope that helps,

Cheers,

Depends...

It is a very good point and you have done the right thing to ask.

It you wish to change the exhaust cat back i.e from the cat back, then YES there are things to take into account.

Boost creep and spike.

A more feel flowing system will increase the problem. But don\'t dispare, from experience the Racing beat twin tail provides a good tone without big problems.

This problem worsens the more you tinker or the higher flowing you go.

Without going into explaining the problem Rich has kindly explained in brief using the link in the previous post.
