Hi folks...

Just got my car back from getting 4 wheel alignment/camber/caster/height etc all setup professionally. Very pleased with the results, however..

..I also got a list of faults he found while tuning the suspension and although I listened intently and asked him to repeat parts Im still a bit confuzzled by some of the notes.

Could you guys have a wee look at this and tell me which parts I need and the best place to get them from... rough cost would be great aswell but I dont want to ask too much of you..lol

1. Prop play and diff noise on take-up - (I take it I need a new diff:confused: )

2. N/S/R tie bar rear joint

3. N/S/R anti roll bar link bent and hitting control arm

4. N/S/F flexi not clipped (got this covered)

5. N/S/F Track rod end boot burst (new TRE or can u get boot for it)

...its never ending with this car!

Thanks

Craig

Hi Craig,

Whist it seems a pain what has happened the up side of this is that you will be now driving around in a safe car as I have said many times that a four wheel alignment is a very good investment with any FD and it should result in a car that will drive straight with no dramas at any speed.

Couple of things that may help, if you do your own work be very carefully to measure the tie rod so you put the new one back on and keep the alignment (sorry if you knew this already)

We can supply new track rod ends cheaply at £12 plus vat each and for that money you would not change the boot even if you could get one because with a split boot water and rubbish has probably already got in the joint and compromised it.

Puzzled about the roll bar joint, with the way the joint connects I would suspect this is a bent anti roll that is twisting the joint.

You could ask on here for S/H or if you wanted a good upgrade we sell Cusco Anti Roll bars with normaly a very quick delivery time.

Hope this helps
