hi.

Thinking of changing my double din headunit for a single din one..possibly kenwood with the music keg hard drive unit...any idea\'s how difficult it\'ll be to remove the double din unit and replace?? I\'d be looking for a decent blank din facia if anyone has a part no or suggest....

I had a look last night, and there\'s like a trillion wires!!! Thinking of up grading the speakers, front and rear as well...any and all advice welcome!!!

Second point is with regards to the drivers door seal...the thick rubbery one attached to the door..mines has come away and expanded..so i\'ve order one from \'Jimmy\'s\' and was looking for some advice on the difficulty level of this task......

i dont know much about the double din but i assume it has like 2 holes on either side of the stereo you place the removing tool in there or use coat hanger s and wiggle it about and it should pop out.

the blank din facia you should be able to buy one from any good stereo shop i think halfords may even do one. i have one its like a cubby hole.

as for upgrading your speakers i have (came with the car when i bought her) infinity kappas they are 6.5" components i think the standard speaker size for the rex is 5 1/4 but i may be wrong, i have these amp ed up by a JL audio 300/4 amp.
i personally dont think you need rear speakers, just a good set of components on the front mid and tweeter set will do fine.
