What Other Mods To Get To 400rwhp

just been wondering what extra mods i would require to bring hp to around 400, at moment i have decat,hurley street ported engine,after market air filter,air pump removed, i know i need a power fc or i could damage engine oh and still running twins i have no idea what the output is at mo anyone have an idea what it might be....

what turbo are you running?

A Turbo if your still on twins :-) I\'d estimate your about 300 at the fly at the moment but your first job is to get the car mapped before it goes bang.

im after he same sort of figure on stock twins.

you would need:

apexi power fc
uprated intercooler
bigger secondary injectors
higher flow fuel pump
water injection

you would have to look at running around 1.1 - 1.2 Bar turbo boost but 1.2 would realy be pushing it and they may not last too long

My twins blew at 1.0 bar after a week.  You can\'t rely on them for big boost over period of time.  That was 322 rwhp on stock ports with water injection and fmic, + fuel pump and fpr.

Get a medium single turbo, + fueling and should get nice power.

it would be very hard to get 400rwhp with twins and if you did manage it probably wouldnt last long, a medium sized tubby would be best, even some of the smaller single turbos would find it hard getting that sort of power

As a slight hijack, could anywone tell me roughly what sort of boost the stock IC is good for on the stock twins? Just curious as to which point it becomes restrictive

The stock intercooler is very very free flowing, the weakness is in cooling efficiency, once you introduce more heat and flow through, the less  it is less able to reject heat compared to an intercooler with a greater surface area. Subsequently the hotter your intake air gets the less dense it becomes etc etc.....

the intercooler isant the biggest problem for increasing the boost the biggest problems is the injectors maxing out, when i first got my power fc i had it mapped and the mapper but the boost up to 0.85bar boost and i was then getting 90% injector duty which is not good so i then changed my secondary injectors to 1600cc and all is now good runnning 1.0bar although i have changed my intercooler aswell to a front mount.

I got a greddy fmic of ebay for about 400 quid
