Just wated the rerun of that dispatches program... Intesting but what it pointed out to me is that we\'re still a very rich country with lots of people with lots of dispoable income, we\'d all like more sure, but if money were that tight we\'d be driving D reg micra\'s and spending the rest on food...

...Sadly this means they can keep upping the prices more and more as there\'s "room" before we break!

What an excellent site - thanks for posting the link up :)

I\'ve been amazed at a Mazda and it stuck! ;)

Just keep in mind that their data can be out of date - so if you go to the cheapest petrol station according to the website, you may find that it\'s a couple of pence more than indicated.

Nevertheless it\'s a useful website that can provide some interesting insight on the local pricing policies (for example, my local Shell is usually the same price or cheaper for regular unleaded compared to Tescos, and the other supermarkets are actually more expensive...)

Oh yeah I wouldn\'t take their prices as absolute, but at least it will tell you the most likely cheapest petrol.

I got an email from them today saying you only get 20 free searches, but when you run out you get 20 more free searches...so....

I just figured it was a better way than seeing those emails saying \'Petrol is too expensive!!! Don\'t drive for a day!!! or Boycott Esso and BP!!!\'

It is a far more realistic way of dealing with the petrol situation. Vote with your feet. Or tyres maybe.

Actually what I did was sign up with them (with one of my semi-throwaway accounts) and they\'re now sending me the email with the cheapest petrol stations around Ashford three times a week. Very handy, this.

And yes, I\'m with you regarding voting with my tyres :). I\'ve got an Esso station at the end of the road I live in but as they\'re extracting the urine price-wise I\'m not giving them my money...

I think making daft comparisons isn\'t really true, i\'ve never bought bottled water as its the most crazy thing you can buy when you think about it, you get water from the tap ;)

Remember my brother once after football he had a fag and then a bottled water bottle and said to me "its good for you this bottled water" :2Confused :rollin :rollin :rollin

Its like saying well insurance is like paying a mortgage why complain ?:3Confused
